The Tianni oparaafcel is a large bird of prey found on the Nodum moon of Tiann, in the Nodum System.

The plumage of the body was a deep blue colour, with a collar of bright green feathers separating the black head feathers from the body. The tail, wingtips and flight feathers were also black or brown.
Growth Rate & Stages
A Tianni oparaafcel has an average lifespan of 5-9 years in the wild. It reaches sexual maturity around 1 years old.
Ecology and Habitats
The Tianni opraafcel can't land on the ground or perch on branches due to its lack of legs. Instead, it roosts in the large, sturdy leaves of the sioppsaff sau. It builds nests of piles of vines from the Tianni Krixsau.
Dietary Needs and Habits
The eyes of the oparaafcel were large compared to the head, and the beak was rather small. However, this was beneficial for the bird as it hunts its smaller prey.
A hunting oparaafcel would stalk its prey from above, before folding in its wings and diving at its prey. The small beak would then land rapid, precise strikes to the spine and neck that paralyze its target and force it to fall from the sky. The opraafcel would then swoop down and pick up the carcass and fly it back to its nest for consumption.
The act of letting the prey animal fall breaks the bones in the body of the animal, which allows the opraafcel to eat the meat and tissue with more ease.
