Wildstorm
Wildstorm
High Prophet of Malyk, Voice of the Unfettered Weave“Magic was never meant to be chained. Let it tear, let it rend, let it burn the world to ash and remake it anew!”
Overview
Wildstorm is the fanatical leader of a hidden cult devoted to Malyk, the demipower of wild and destructive magic. To his followers, he is both prophet and weapon: the mortal embodiment of Malyk’s creed that magic must be free of all shackles. He preaches that Mystra’s laws are lies, that the Weave itself screams for release, and that only by embracing chaos can true power be found.Description
Wildstorm is a gaunt man with hair like white fire and eyes that flicker with ever-changing colours. His skin is marked with burn-scars and glyphs from magical surges that have ravaged his body, yet he wears them with pride. He dresses in robes stitched with spell-scrolls, some singed or half-burned, others bleeding words into the air as the ink unravels itself. When he walks, sparks of raw magic crackle across his limbs.Personality
He is charismatic and terrifying in equal measure, a true zealot of magical chaos. To his cultists he offers liberation: power without restraint, spells unbound by spellbooks or laws. To outsiders he is a herald of disaster, glorying in calamities as signs of Malyk’s blessing.Beliefs
- Mystra is a tyrant who chains the Weave.
- Magic is meant to be wild, untamed, and destructive.
- Spellplague and surges were holy revelations, not tragedies.
- Those who refuse Malyk’s gift must be consumed in the storm.
Role in Cormyr
Wildstorm’s cult has taken root in hidden ruins along the Stonelands and into the cracks of Cormyr’s noble politics. Rumours suggest that he was once a failed War Wizard initiate, cast out after uncontrolled surges killed his peers. Now, he uses that failure as a rallying cry, claiming the War Wizards suppress true power. His followers sabotage Weave anchors, attack temples of Mystra, and attempt to destabilise the Crown with magical terror.Secrets

Wildstorm had begun whispering to the Harbinger of Madness, believing that by uniting Malyk’s creed with Maeve’s Harbingers he can shatter both Mystra’s Weave and the seals of the Queen of Thorns, however Madness stopped talking to him, driving him instead to focus on expanding the power of Castle Kilgrave.
