Deep Lore

Welcome to where I actually write most of Corive. While I haven't sat down and hammered out my plans (marketing as a game setting, use for books, private use?) for Corive, I also know that people can easily get lost or overwhelmed with larger worlds. So, in March of 2022, I started sifting through my articles and tagging them as Core, or Deep and then locking Deep Lore articles behind the Deep Lore Consumer subscriber role. I have, however, left my challenge articles public and open regardless of if they are Deep, Core, or Campaign Lore. Readers may eventually see those articles showcase containers that would normally be assigned to subscriber groups, and eventually the Core Lore or Campaign Lore articles will also have these containers.

Deep Lore is content where I am writing mostly for me. If you're reading a Deep Lore article, I write as if assuming you've read enough of the Core Lore to follow (unless the article is a Challenge one) what I say. Deep Lore is the kind of content where I write the things that interest me at the moment - such as Thydian Cattle or Bees as a pair of examples from SummerCamp prompts. They have an impact on the greater setting as a whole, but they're not necessary reading to get the gist of my setting.

If I ever make this setting marketable for other Game Masters and Storytellers to run games in, I want to give them the space to tell their own stories. Because of this desire, I am striving to focus more on large places and large organizations as being Core while smaller ones or individual people are (hopefully) left for those future GMs and Storytellers to make their own version of Corive. Deep Lore is for "my" version of Corive.
