Marshal of the Alyite Order
This is the highest military rank in the Alyite Order. Usually the Order only has a handful of Marshals, most with a specific geographic command. Traditionally the titles include four geographic commands. The Marshall of the North in charge of military operations north of the Spine. The Marshal of the Empire in charge of defending the Empire of Lao. The Marshal of the Southeast in charge of forces in the lands south of the Spine and east of the Empire. The last and newest of the traditional Marshal Commands is the Marshal of the West in charge of building the Order's influence in the lands of the West both north and south of the Spine beyond the western borders of the Empire of Lao. From time to time other Marshals are created. Currently there are two additional Marshals, one of whom is Atheneis Majara.
Qualifications
Must be a highly experienced military commander previously holding the rank of general within the Alyite Order.

Must be a member of the Alyite Order
Appointment
Appointed by the High Council of the Alyite Order.
Duties
Commands both Alyite forces and any additional forces serving with the Order's forces.
Benefits
Marshals are assigned a military staff, bodyguards and servants. Marshals are usually, but not always given an official residence at an Order Fortress.
Accoutrements & Equipment
Marshals are typically gifted with such items as magical swords or armor by the High Council when they are appointed. They will always receive a signet ring, uniforms, cloaks and surcoats as gift when they are appointed.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
Marshals can be removed by the High Council for incompetence, corruption or dereliction of duty.
