Marriage Bracelet
Marriage bracelets are used throughout the lands around the Windy Sea and in the central regions of the Spine. The bracelets are used by spouses. Traditionally the bands are about as wide as a man's thumb and are made of soft metals like copper, silver and gold so they can be bent to conform to the wearer's wrist. Bands are typically made in pairs so the partners will have matching bands. Those with multiple spouses will typically wear a band for each marriage. The metal the band is made out is generally a guide to the social class of the wearer. Copper bands are worn by common folk, prosperous tradesmen and other people with a more comfortable life will wear silver. The wealthy, both of common and noble birth wear gold bands.
