Harun'Dal

The Paradise of Alderflow

The plane of existence was always similar to Corfix. It has been observed to be two planes on top of each other. The shadow plane extends further than the light and once the two overlap they become a whole world. Creatures that live in this plane or step into it feel a sense of balance that makes all need for food and water simply gone. The atmosphere of the world is very heavy, giving the world this semi foggy dreamy look. This good feeling makes it difficult for whoever steps into that plane to ever want to leave it as well as the speculation that this could be the paradise after life.   It is not truly the case as the creatures that are not originally from Harun'Dal slowly starve without realising what is happening to their body. It slows death to a rate that is not really perceptible.   Many seek to reach that plane directly through portals. One of those instances was the rogue mage Traydark Alderflow. When he failed to get a place into the deep council to study the lower planes, he set out on his own and built his following on his own. The main objective was to reach this paradise and provide it to all. A rift was open to try and equalize both worlds. The universe balanced both worlds, species from the lower planes leaked through the rift and even through the higher planes to end up in Corfix, while copies of people's souls were spawned into it. Traydark had disappeared into the rift as well as his work and followers. In the lost library of Alderflow the books written call this place Harun'Dal and point towards other rifts opened around the world to permit both worlds to merge.   The promised land of Alderflow had been a belief spread most commonly around Endrya and Khar. A perfect place where all those who die go to and will live in peace, with no pain, no need for food or water.   The world was sent into an era of Chaos while it tried to balance itself and the deep council started searching for the origin point of the rifts. They closed the first rift and upon finding out there were more they needed to come up with a way to undo what the mage had done. This lead to the creation of Ir'Khaila. A guardian that would speak for the elements and would be the voice of the people. This project was brought to all kingdoms. This was a potential kind of magic that could end up in the destruction of both Corfix and Harun'Dal.   The Ir'Khaila and their paladins would be then recognised as heroes. Some have fallen trying to close the rift, while others have managed to reach their objectives. Each era a different kingdom would be responsible to choose the Ir'Khaila along with the deep council to carry the burden.   The burden makes it so all the magic from the prayers go through him, fueling his power, but sacrificing his own. The Ir'Khaila from then on will be fueled by that power, connected to the beacon shards. It is the energy from those shards that will keep him alive, without their soul will fade.   Now the deep council still has a high amount of control over the high magic, spread all through the world and stablished within their own shrines. Each of those is dedicated to the study of a different plane of existence and it's elemental arcane. Related to those are different schools of magic, each tied to their closest elemental.
