The Tower is Brought Down
The battle which ended in the Sky Tower found in the Northern Tundra becoming a ruin. This severed the path from sky to land, making travel between the two much harder. Happening in the Era when magic was still known to Continental it was fought between two groups of Fairies. The defending side was the Winter Winds who back when magic was still around and the tower stood were much more powerful, able to steal memories from beings and take them into the sky. The Winds wanted to make the whole sky a massive gallery of memories, with the memories of love being the most prized. This behavior angered the other Fairies, and a large force that included Volcanic Dryads, Dune Dryads, and a few others, including some Thorn Nymphs.
Historical Significance
Passed through stories to Fairies in far flung pieces of the globe shortly after the battle was done. One of the Fairies who heard this way and learned of the Winds danger was Taelondrom the Thorn Nymph, who remembered the story in a modified form(to remove the mentions of magic) after the knowledge was taken from the world.Legacy
The Winds became weak, but did not vanish, merely going back to their phenomenon and rebuilding until they could swarm together and travel without the Tower. They learned how to do this only 2,000 years ago and have been slowly trying to remember what they want to steal.
In Literature
Written down once after the Dark Years as a way to insure that future Fairies would learn not to steal from one another or the results would be terrible.
