On touch screen devices, a few taps of the fingers bring games to life and closes the physical distance between friends with a simple call. The operating systems on these devices have made drastic improvements in the various ways over the past few decades, allowing users to interact with the hardware more accessible than ever.  

With the first operating system dating back to the mid 50s, it has been an integral part of the computer since its conception. Modern operating systems have many huge responsibilities to keep our systems running smoothly.
