Overview

A guilty undertone covers the land of Ravenholme. Light finds it hard to shine and the roads between are ever dim. Those native to the country are proud, so much so their stubbornness in accepting any fault from their kin is like a wall of denial. Darkstone and metal make up its architecture and every street is cobbled stone. It is a place that has stood the tests of time, multiple wars, and thousands of drunken brawls and survived. Never has it had to build on top of the old for the foundations of the country are strong as iron and rumoured to be laced with something supernatural. As the six great houses rule and protect, it is within them that the future of the country lies. To return to former glories is ever the driving force of the noble houses. To once again claim rulership over many is a hook deeply set in the views and values of this land. Nobility has been earned and taken usually hand in hand. The Academies are everywhere, seeking out arcane talent and providing them resources to grow and become powerful beyond that of lesser arcane users. It is through this learned magic that they will claim their history. The history that they were once the largest empire of humans on Colossus, and this is still rooted in their hearts. The empire will begin again and each house, each building of note, is known to be working towards that end goal. Wild Wardens are present all along the roads and in certain cities, elves and fey creatures that watchover the crossways between the material realm and that of the Fey Wild. Ravenholme overlays the Forest of Copper, said forest is one of eight forests that house the anchors of the Fey Wild to stop it spilling into the material realm. Stories of Fey and creatures of dream and nightmare are rife across Ravenholme, any adventurer walking the roads have brought a story of two with them There is an ancient aura to Ravenholm, a timeless state of architecture and knowledge. Wizards are highly regarded where as anyone who deems to receive power from another are frowned upon and in some cases such as Warlocks are out right illegal, punishable by death. Sorcerers are seen as weaker than Wizards due to not working towards their magic, put down by the idea that they have little control over it compared to those who have put their life's work into spells and incantations. It is very common to see Sorcerers who walk the towns of Ravenholme to be stolen away by the law and firmly reminded that if they are caught casting magic, then they will find themselves on hard times
