Overview

The Toan Highlands are exactly this, a sprawling mass of rolling hills and deep valleys for as far as the eye can see. The Gnomes and Halflings that live here take residence both within the hills and atop of them.
Many hamlets are dotted among the hills and sat in the valleys with roaming tribes and clans traveling from hamlet to hamlet. A variety of tartan and woad colourations separate the different tribes and clans.
Druidic magic is part of everyday life and revered as a religion throughout the highlands, with strong beliefs of the soul returning as a creature of the land to then return as a halfling or gnome and forever repeat the cycle unless one is lucky enough for their soul to rest eternally in Talla mòr a great feasting hall with endless music, drink, food and merriment.
Animalistic personalities and culture fills the lives of the Toans, alpha, pack, cubs, den are such words used often. The ability to defend oneself and clan is highly regarded and thus what outsiders would refer to as monks the Toans call the Bru’taye. Highly skilled unarmed warriors.

Many say they are not true Fey but celestial cousins descended from Tomlin, the first halfling, and Omriel Ela’Demore, the first aasimar.
Capital - There is no capital city throughout the highlands, being a place of hamlets and tribes put together in a network of tunnels and over hill tracks there is no need for one.
