History

All of the races of Colossus originate from the power of the Creator Titans. Titan Lord Strand is the one responsible for the beginnings of Vae and its people but he is the embodiment of arcane power, the progenitor of magic. The elves and goliaths of the world are creations of Strand and they were given the land of Vae to grow, play, learn and go on to teach. They were powerful, beyond that of the other races, and it became thought that they were too powerful. Titan Strand began to split them, again and again, until there were many more of them but with less power but with their own talents. Some elves found themselves born with magic in their veins and others had the marks of the wild across their skin at birth. This would put these races on the first steps to building their Dynasty. Having access to the purest of arcane power, they built quickly and learned at a rapid rate. The shapes of a civilization came quickly and peace was held in the land in an arcane embrace. It is no surprise that peace didn’t last, power corrupts all and the Titan Strand was no exception. The creator titan reached deep into other planes. The links to the Fiends and the Undeath were made, Titan Strand had overstepped and accidentally opened doorways for these planes to enter the material world. War was now upon Vae, demons and unliving swarmed across the peaceful land. The people turned from Titan Strand, taking it on themselves to deal with the threat. Titan Strand felt shame for the first time. The Titan turned their focus on the undead plane, drawing as much of the power into themselves and gave their elven and goliath creations time to face the Fiends first. Titan Strand, arcane incarnate, absorbed much of that plane in an overwhelming amount. Necrotic energy seeped from Strand, like an cup that became too full and spilt. Its weave of corrupting energy mixed with those of the arcane. This led to those gifted in casting pulling necrotic energy into their spells.
With the distraction in place from their Titan, the Vae people turned their attentions on the Fiends. The battles were horrific as such an enemy was unknown to them with that level of lethality. They searched the land for pockets of power, side effects of the Titan Lord homing in Vae, and the most powerful they found was a glade of five blossom trees. Skilled as the Vae people were, they siphoned the power from the trees and created the Gādian, powerful guardians. This turned the war against the Fiends and the Undead, but only just. The playing field was almost even now. Titan Strand had to let go of the Undead plane for fear of it consuming them. The held power needed to go somewhere, it was a massive weight, and so Titan Strand created giant humanoids imbued with arcane and undead power. These giants were the first of their kind and were the final addition that the Vae armies needed to turn back the tides. Pushed back the last five, the Gādian returned to the blossom tree glade to give back the power. It was not enough, the five of them weren't enough, and so they gave their souls. The Akichi of Blossoms was created. Titan Strand was wounded deeply, a wound self inflicted, their ‘blood’ flowed into the rivers, the ground, the very air of Vae. Magic was run pure for a time. The Chikau was born and the Grand Clans formed. They began taking on aspects of the blossoms to forever make sure they were prepared for any future threat.
