Askarian Land Train
The Askarain Land Train is like a traditional steam or coal powered train, except for the fact that it doesn't use preset railroad tracks, but instead uses massive, durable tires. The Land Train has a massive locomotive engine to pull the other train cars behind it like a traditional track riding variant, but the front engine is not it's only means of movement. Each car has its own individual engines that can be activated in case the train were to get stuck. The locomotive is powerful enough to pull up to ten cars unaided and is often used to quickly move large and heavy pieces of equipment far more quickly and in greater quantities than smaller vehicles could.
When the city-state of Askar was first transported to where it currently sits on the world of Colarn, there was desperate need for information on the surrounding areas as well as a tally of available resources. Many of the vehicles and equipment that Askar were damaged and in need of repair. Three Land Trains wre still serviceable and survived the event relatively unscathed. Each train had six cars independent of their locomotives and were separated to run independently. Each car was large enough to accommodate several scouts and their equipment and could be driven individually which gave the Askarians eighteen vehicles that could be equipment for exploration instead of the zero they had before.
Each car was named and numbered according to which Land Train the orginated from. The three trains were the Cetacia, the Loxodonta and the Serpentes. The third car of the Loxodonta train would be named Lox-3, the first car of the Serpentes train would be Serpent-1 and the sixth car of the Cetacia train would be Ceta-6 by way of example. With each car being equipped with radios, the teams could easily maintain contact with the city while they explored the areas around them.
