The Election of Vahalian, Twice-Turned

Political event

28/47/04

Emperor-Elect Vahalian, Twice-Turned, is appointed by The Palantine Court. Crippled as a small child, their frail body hid a keen mind, though one more suited to study than governance.

After spending fifteen years tutored and taught by the Elector-Counts of The Brazen Empire, Vahalian is offered the role of Emperor-Elect. Despite a personal preference for the worlds of academia, he accepts nonetheless, eager to utilise his powers to herald a new era of innovation and study.   His appointment, though welcomed by most of the court, was not enthusiastically received by the public or Thedor, who saw his bookish nature and frail form as indications of a weak Emperor. Though there would be peace, a deep unease would settle over the realm, concerned over the mettle of their new ruler should it need be tested.
