After a year of preperation, Vahalian declares war on Walden, citing evidence and proof that they were behind the assasination of Auralis. Though his critics demand to see the evidence, he refuses to reveal it, citing security concerns and traitors amidst the ranks.   The war progresses quickly, though it leads to both Tol Baldir and The Uluk Empire imposing sanctions in response to this unmitigated aggression. Unfortunately, though Walden fought a vicious guerilla campaign, its small population left it helpless before the disciplined assault of The Brazen Empire.   Given the choice of death or assimilation, Walden agreed to join the Empire, though this black mark on its history would never be forgiven, and would be the cause of much strife in future years as secessionists constantly reminded the population of just how it came to be a member.
