Yefreiter

Yefreiter is a tall and unassuming figure, possessed of the distinctive style from the newly-discovered Jainir. His outfit is informal, and despite his rank and privileges, chooses still to wear the ragged clothes he first arrived on Amilyn with.   Of particular note, however, are the clockwork replacements to his body. A novel science in The Brazen Empire, the Jains have made astounding progress in this field, and Yefreiter bears all the hallmarks of their genius. One eye now made of brass, his right hand of copper and cog; they operate as though flesh and blood with none of the flaws that follow.
