The Cat in the Armor

A sky shanty

  Shantyman:
So I said one night to the bar miss
  Chorus:
  Hey! Ho! Something's amiss!
  Shantyman:
The armor is squeaks then it hisses, oh miss!
  Chorus:
Hey! Ho! Something's amiss! The armor it squeaks then it hisses, oh miss!
  Shantyman:
She pulled me outside and sent me to piss
  Chorus:
  Hey! Ho! Something's amiss!
  Shantyman:
Then the armor did wiggle and shake, oh miss!
  Chorus:
Hey! Ho! Something's amiss! Then the armor did wiggle and shake, oh miss!
  Shantyman:
A great crash and a shriek, then hey!, oh miss!
  Chorus:
  Hey! Ho! Something's amiss!
  Shantyman:
The cat and the mouse then ran off, oh miss!
  Chorus:
Hey! Ho! Something's amiss! The cat and the mouse then ran off, oh miss!

Sky shanties

Sky shanties, like sea shanties, are work songs sung by sky sailors and sky pirates to keep on task. While some are amusing, like The Cat in the Armor, others are magic spells meant to ward off evil and keep the weather in favor of the ship and its crew.
The Cat in the Armor is a classic sky shanty written in call and response format, wherein the "Shantyman" or lead "calls" to the chorus with the opening line. The Chorus then responds with their line and the song rocks back and forth, a nod to the old sea faring days of sailors long ago.
