Master Yonathan

Master Yonathan, a butakah master of mystics and weaponry, has no tolerance for slackers. He demands excellence from his advanced students, and he makes them train with his intern, Becca, before he accepts them. He is a native of Ethiopia, where he had survived the civil war that ravaged his country. He owes his life to Master Moses, his predecessor, who had rescued him and introduced him to the butakah brotherhood. As a butakah, Master Yonathan has devoted years to learning the secrets of his order. He had a remarkable talent for identifying djinn, and he surpassed all his peers in that skill.   He also excelled at using human weapons, but he found the weapons of the astral world even more fascinating. He had a natural affinity for mystics and the alternate world, and he outperformed any human on record. He had taught the master traveler how to wield twelve different weapons, and how to cast spells with moral integrity. He had also revealed deeper secrets to him, as he progressed in his levels and experience. He had even introduced him to his secret brothers, the butakah organization, and welcomed him as a member. The master traveler had gained access to every secret a human could know, and some that even djinn didn’t. He owed his success to Master Yonathan, his mentor and friend.   Master Yonathan is at the second level of the pyramid. Before reaching his level, a traveler must get past the hinn that guards the passage. Otherwise, in Master Yonathan’s opinion, the traveler is not worthy of training.
