Dragonborn
Dragonborn are quite rare in Cisum, and doubly so among the island nations of the Acapellago. There are a few scattered dragonborn enclaves in the remote reaches of the continents. Few go there, so little is known of dragonborn culture beyond what travelers share with the world. Cisum dragonborn are often devoutly loyal to their family clan, putting even a dwarf to shame. Dragonborn tend to be mostly self-sufficient and indepenedent. When one deigns to join you on your adventure, count yourself lucky.

Naming Traditions
Dragonborn have personal names given at birth, but they put their clan names first as a mark of honor. A childhood name or nickname is often used among clutchmates as a descriptive term or a term of endearment. The name might recall an event or center on a habit.

Culture and Cultural Heritage
Dragonborn are not common anywhere on Cisum and have very few settlements of their own. Most are family homesteads that have grown over the generations to be small hamlets or villages. Some maintain ties to family but strike out for their own plot of land. One well-known Dragonborn settlement is that of Honah Lee. It's location is a closely guarded secret. Dragonborn hailing from Honah Lee tend to be excellent herbalists and alchemists.
Dragonborn who leave Honah Lee and start families will typically do so within their own scales - red dragonborn with red, silver with silver. This is rarely the case for those who live in Honah Lee. It is quite common to see a black dragonborn and a gold dragonborn bond as mates and produce a clutch of green, bronze, and white dragonborn children. This phenomena is unique to the dragonborn society of Honah Lee and often baffles outsiders who meet a dragonborn with siblings and parents of different scales.
History
The Dragonborns of Cisum can all trace their lineage back to an ancient one-time meeting of chromatic and metalic dragons. Some versions of the story mention a few gem dragons as well, though gem dragonborn are all but impossible to find. The Draconic Ensemble, as it has come to be known, was both the spawning of and only gathering of all the dragons of Cisum. It took place on their secret home of Honah Lee. From some combined magics of the dragons and remnant cosmic energies from their own creation, the first dragonborn were hatched.
Early dragonborn were taught by the dragons. This is what formed their culture and language. However, as is common among the multiverse, rivalries between chromatic and metalic dragons led to infighting among the dragon rulers of the island. It nearly came to civil war among the dragonborn. Instead, the dragons all left, choosing to leave their children to their own devices. Some of the chromatic dragonborn took this as a sign to go off into the world and make their own way. Many chose to stay on Honah Lee and build it into the society it is today.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
It's easy to assume that a dragonborn is a monster, espcially if his or her scales betray a chromatic heritage. Unless the dragonborn starts breathing fire and causing destruction, though, people are likely to respond with caution rather than outright fear.
