The Gray Wolf
The Gray wolf is revered by many as the God of Justice and rightous struggle. Sometimes appearing as a large direwof, other times as a human-wolf hybrid. Little is known about this deity as it does not make demands or take tithes but does occassionally answer prayers.
The Gray Wolf's most notable appearance was during The Sacking of Helmsfall, the seat of power for the Teirgeros Empire at the time of its fall. For those who witnessed, it was said that the Bloody Tyrant Teirgeros did weild the powers of his new God Tyndalion and, with brutal fashion, began cutting down scores of soldiers and civillians alike. Orrin Blackthumb, a simple paladin at the time, was the only one to match blows with the Half-Devil and even succeeded in greaty wounding him, but received his own grave wound in the process. Just as a final blow was to be struck on Orrin, a large wolf-like being appeared between the Tyrant and his victim. Some say that the Wold held a dagger with its teeth, while others claim his fangs were daggers. There are some witnesses who deny the presance of a wolf at all, instead insisting on some cloaked stranger.
Regardless of image, the resulting battle was descisive, leading to the death of the Vicount of Viscera and the end of his reign of terror. As the dust settled, The Gray Wolf was nowhere to be seen. Other accounts of The Wolf are few and far between, however, it is not unheard of for missing people to reappear, claiming to be saved by large stray direwolf or even for those fighting for justice to hear the tenebrous howl of a wolf when all else seems lost.
