Burial Deathmasks
One of the most notable of artifact discoveries within the ruins of Cinder's Hope have been the presance of Burial Deathmasks. Ubiquitous throughout ruins and dungeons, burial deathmasks are Oldworld Artifacts that have a strange allure among the upper class. They often depict various faces or visages thought to be of old deities or even heroes and are made of a currently inexplained metallic substance that can re-assert its shape unless broken or severed. Some are said to have magical properties that allow a wearer to view the world with a new perspective while others are known to simply drive the wearer mad. However, most are inert besides their physical characterisics and while alone they are simply strange with no other value, the elite and nobility have began a trend of donning these deathmasks as a fasion statement and thus are often seen wearing these odd and garish visages. Many mask fragments can be found throughout the dungeons, however, because of its status among the wealthy, an intact deathmask can be worth a small fortune.
