  In a time long past, when gods and mortals walked closely together, there existed a figure known as Maleus. His life was marked by an unrelenting presence of extremes; he was never in the grey, but always at the farthest ends of the spectrum. The Arena was a crucible where combatants faced demons, monsters, and other challengers in epic confrontations. During one such fateful battle, Maleus was struck down by a formidable demonic creature, seemingly meeting his end in the arena’s chaotic maelstrom.

The Night Market

  Transformed into Maleus the Market Master, his realm became The Night Market, a celestial domain where the capricious nature of circumstance reigned supreme. The Night Market was a place of eternal flux and boundless possibility, filled with mysterious stalls, shifting aisles, and enigmatic vendors offering a myriad of wonders. The ever-changing nature of the market mirrored Maleus’s role as the arbiter of circumstance, a guardian of the unpredictable forces that shape existence.  

The Legacy of Maleus

  Maleus’s followers, known as the Fortunites, revered him as the divine embodiment of circumstance. They honored his legacy by embracing the unpredictability of life, using rituals and divinations to navigate the uncertainties of their own existence. The Night Market remained a sacred realm, its ever-changing nature a symbol of Maleus’s influence over the flow of circumstance.   The tale of Maleus’s rise to divinity, catalyzed by his battle in the Arena of Cinder and the intervention of wild magic, became a legendary story of transformation and divine guidance. Maleus, the Market Master, is remembered as both a master of circumstance and a protector of the unpredictable, ensuring that the legacy of randomness and uncertainty endures through the ages.
