The Oracle of the Elements

The Oracle is a sacred individual that is suppose to be above the petty squabbles of the nobles. Many find it an honor to be in her presence and none is foolish to even dare to harm her as they will gain the wrath of her knights and the very spirits she serves. So far each Oracle have done their job well which has lead to the prosperity of the city. - The Story Teller

    The Oracle of the Elements is the one chosen by the spirits to be the speaker of the spirits. They are tasked with taking care of the spirits commands in order to honor the pact made with the four great spirits. This is a sacred and important position that the nobles of Salire take with great honor as since the founding every oracle has been someone from a noble family. While the Oracle has to act with out favoratism this doesn't not prevent the families from using it as clout in their own actions.   The Oracle is supported by the Elemental Knights of Salire which is made up of nobles and commoners with the ability to harness magic. Primarily nobles make up the order, though there have been a few non nobles who have been closely associated with nobles which lead to their magical exposure. The knights are loyal to the oracle first, then their family. The Oracle commands them to aid in performing the desires of the great spirits.   Many of the oracles task deal with locating of impotant objcts to the spirits, talking to the nobles to inform them of actions they taken to cause problems for the spirits, and to inform the nobles of threats to the spirits that can be found in the frozen lands. This has lead to many classes with rival spirits or dealing with beast that cause problems to the environment. This has also lead to some problems with some of the nobles interest as their desire for profit sometimes classes with the spirits environmental desires.
