The Fortress of Rhas, located on the island of the same name, is abandoned as the troops manning and guarding it are needed to contain the spread of the Blight on the continent.

The Esnian empire would never reoccupy it, and it would become the headquarters of the Shield of Saol, a less radical offshoot of the cult of Sokral
