World Ember 2024 Recap

Little Recap Ramble

It's safe to say that this WorldEmber was a resounding success for me. Last years was fine, but it ended in a mad rush that kind of tainted my whole experience. This year was very different. I had a plan, a release schedule, which i largely managed to follow. I did deviate from the list of article i wanted to tackle, but eh, no plan survives first contact anyways.

I locked in early, and in the first week, delivered on not only World Ember entries, but also unofficial challenges that ran this month, and after that, it was pretty much smooth sailing until January. I managed to write more this year, while having less time to do so than last year.

I did make a conscious decision after Christmas to tackle smaller articles, in order to prevent burn out and a pile of half-completed articles or stubs and that was largely a success as well. I do still have 100s of stubs, so in 2025, the war against stubs continues raging on!
