The Ghnari warriors of Asderaan (N'ari)
"Ha! You think Rumalian jargs are scary lookin'? Wait till you see this ghnari soldier fight!"
The Ghnaris are the main infantry force of the Kingdom of Asderaan, a large country located in eastern Mahador. They share many similarities with the The Jargs of Rumalia, but have an even more ferocious reputations and a longer history.
Appearance
Ghnari are Shapeshifters who have undergone the Kwelifu ritual which locked their appearance into a hybrids forms, permanently. The process radicaly changes their bodies. They become taller, both because their bodies grow, but also before their feet shift to digitigrade stance. Their upper back curves and a brown mane appears on it and their neck, connected to their human hair. They become physicaly very strong, with large muscles apparent under a coat of spotted golden fur. Finaly, their head is transformed into that of a hyena. They do retain their human hands somewhat, at least enough to use weapons efficiently, as well as human speech, though their voice become lower and more growly.Recrutement
The Ghnari warriors are exclusively male shapeshifters, as females are not permitted from taking on fighting roles in Asderaani culture. All male shifters, provided they are a predator species, and especialy hyenas, or a species with predator chracteristics, such as elepants or rhinos. The recruits are sent to the capital, Dor-Esim, at age 11, where they are trained by current ghnari warriors.Training
The training regiment is very harsh and unforgiving. After a year, most candidates are sent back, and the few that remain continue their training for another two years. At age 14, they undergo the Kwelufu ritual, which transforms their bodies permanently into a Hybrid form, allowing them more strenght, speed, and stamina and making them true Ghnari warriors. During the early years, they are mainly trained in archery, then sword/sabre and spear fighting, and finaly, after the ritual, all of these, and hand to hand combat training, intensifies until age 16, were they finaly officialy enter the ranks.Composition

Types of Ghnari warriors
Historicaly, 100% of all Ghnari warriors were male Hyena shifters, but since the reforms ushured in by the Hyena clan's victory against the Lion and Leopard clans it is no longer the case. Now, other shapeshifter species have been permitted to also become Ghnari warriors, such as lion, leopards, cheetah and even elephants and rhinos. While typicaly only predator species are allowed to become Ghnari warriors, exceptions are made with elephants and rhinoceros because of their strenght and ferocity, comparable to predators. The numbers
It is unknown how many Ghnari warriors asderaan possesses, but it is estimated that it is in the tens of thousands, possibly over 50k, which are divided into at least 4 different compagnies. One is always in the capital, Dor-Esim, while two others are near the border with the kingdom of Dorema. The typical location of the other legion(s) is unknown. Each of these legions numbers around 5000 warriors.Equipment
Because of the hot climate and the fact that their attacks rely on speed, ghnari warriors do not wear heavy metal armour like human soldiers in other continents do. Instead, a simple metal helmet, some short pants and hard leather chestplate is all they typicaly wear in combat. They also carry various other items, such as waterskins, daggers, as well as both specific types of Talismans and potions to boost their strenght, resistance and stamina. The talisman is worn under the chestplate, while the potions are usualy consumed right before combat, and thus are only stored temporarely on their hip as well. daggers and sabres are stored in various scabbards along their hip
Weaponry
In hand-to-hand combat, they do not just rely on their brute strength, but also on the brass knukles they wear to deal even more devastating devastating blows to their opponents. They also have a pair of sabres, a type of curved swords popular throughout the continent, which they duel-wield in combat. Finaly, in terms of range weaponery, they have long bows, able to fire long and powerfull shots at great distance, as well as iron-tipped spears. Both the bow, its arrows and the spears are located on their backs, hocked or stored on the leather chestplate. Both the daggers and sabres are stored along their hip, in a leather and metal belt containing varrious scabbards.
Tactics
The tactics employed by the ghnari warriors are as scary as they are efficient. They basicaly consist of overwelming and overpowering their opponent as quickly as possible and maintain presure until the opponent surrenders. Their goal is not nessesseraly to kill them, but more to simply render them unable to fight, by non-lethal force if possible.
