Spontaneous Phantomization is, as the name suggests, a very quick phenomenon, lasting no more than 2 to 5 seconds. A period of transition occurs at the start and end of the transformation from a human body to a phantom body, which lasts less than half a second. While transformed into a phantom, the
Necromancer will find himself suddenly passing through solid objects, like walls, doors and even chairs, which in some cases, can lead to injury if they switch back to their human body mid-fall, or while inside an object. Fortunately for them, just like in a conscious phantom transformation, turning back into a human seems to automatically eliminate any foreign object or mass within their body. As it passes through these solid objects, their phantom body they will leave behind a layer of blue ectoplasm.
Cause
The cause of such a phenomenon is well understood to be a symptom of an overexposure to the light of
Veos, to which Necromancers are particularly sensitive to. For them, being exposed to Veos's light for a prolonged amount of time (10+ minutes) triggers their mana core to one produce more mana, and two, take in more mana from their
Etherial link. This saturates no only their cores with
Mana energy, but their whole body as well, and once a critical level is reached, that surplus mana is spent all at once, in the most efficient way the body can, which just so happens to be a phantom transformation. According to Scholars, this is because it is already the most Mana-consuming ability a necromancer can deploy while also being a discharge and doesn't require any outside elements, like other necromantic abilities.
Visualisation
Much like during a normal phantom transformation, the body of a necromancer turns into a semi-translucent form, bright blue in colour, and emitting a striking blue glow. Notably, this glow is much stronger during a spontaneous phantomization than during a normal phantom transformation. Scholars speculate that this may be due to the large amount of mana used at once during such event, compared to their usual counterpart.
That quote is great; you should add it to the beginning of the article, as it sets the reader up for the article in a very nice and humorous way. I like the concept, and it's nice that you tried to explain the process physically and technically, instead of just stating what you would see. This makes it more realistic for me, in terms of how it works. It's always easy to establish a law or simply make a statement, but I think the explanation behind it is very difficult for many people.

There was supposed to be another quote at the top, but i forgot to add it, and then time was up lol. But i appreciate your comment, and that my explanation made the phenomena more realistic for you! Thanks for the like and comment! <3
