Light Dash

The effect of the spell, no matter its target, is devastating. Everything that crosses its path is either incinerated or blown away, left destroyed and reduced to ashes and rubble by its power.

A very loud, almost deafening, crackling sound is produced when the spell is discharged. The sound has been described as being very similar to powerful thunder, and it similarly can be heard from many kilometres away.

Before the spell is cast, one can see the mage's body begin to emit light and glow intensely. The colour of the light they emit ranges from pure white, to yellow, and even a golden or amber colour. When the spell is cast, a beam of light just as fast as lightning is discharged towards the direction that the mage was facing.   At the same time, the mage is able to ride the light, allowing them to move at incredible speed. During those few short seconds, the mage is able to change direction if they are strong enough, allowing them to hit multiple targets with only one spell. And those targets do not really stand a chance to stop them either, as for the duration of the spell, they are protected by a ball of light that is so energized and boiling hot that it destroys and burns to a crisp nearly anything it touches. The only thing that seems to resist the power of the spell is Shadestone.

The huge amount of energy necessary to deploy such a spell is contained within the mage's mana cores. Because of the huge amount of mana it consumes, only the most powerful and well trained Lightmages are able to perform the spell consecutively, especial at night, where they can't replenish their mana reserves with the sun's light.
