Ghouls

Intro

The soulless creatures known as Ghouls are the reanimated corpses of deseased humans and animals that were given life and temporarely resurected by the magic of Necromancers.

Creation

The beings known as Ghouls can only be created by a necromancer. They inject their own Mana energy into a freshly deseased corpses, reanimated it for a short while.

Uses

Ghouls are almost exclusively for military purposes, mostly on battlefields. Fallen soldiers, especialy those with elemental magic abilities, can be very useful when reanimated, as their magic abilities can be activated and used by the reanimating Necromancer for a short while, until the corpse decays too much.

A Very Taboo Practice

For most cultures in Hysal, the magical reanimations of corpses, also known as Necromancy, is extremely taboo and seen as disrespectful and a sort of defilliement of someone's body after death. For this reason, Necromancy is heavely regulated in both Enaskia and Arros, and only sparingly, usualy with the explicit aprobation of the person before they die.
