The declina of Knowledge, a story of Fourt era

Post-Empire Turmoil and Reformation in Arshmunnu

Lunarian Invasion and the Aftermath (760 AA - 765 AA)

After the As’hika Empire's collapse, Arshmunnu endured a devastating invasion from Lunaria. Utilizing the powerful Staff of Sun and Staff of Moon, the Lunarians caused significant environmental and infrastructural damage, including the crippling of the Grand Railway. This dark period saw the disappearance of the Guardians of the Veil and the destruction of most Magic Towers, sparing only the Blue Tower.

Rise of the Cacophonic Cult and the Demon Wars (770 AA - 775 AA)

The ensuing power vacuum enabled the rise of the Cacophonic Cult in Karunia, initiating the Gehennom Wars with demonic forces led by Archdemon Luci. A grave misunderstanding led to Luci's assassination by the Saintess of the Imperial Papacy, triggering widespread demonic dominion in the Gothian peninsula until the papacy sealed away the demons.

Dragon Withdrawal and Isolation

Humanity's wartime activities and misuse of magical artifacts prompted all dragon kinds, except Yrcsk the golden king, to withdraw to Escepia, thus severing ancient wisdom and magical ties with Arshmunnu and causing a significant cultural and magical deficit.

Decay and Downfall of Educational and Cultural Institutions

Subsequently, major educational and cultural institutions like Lundenford Academy and Fractura Swordsmanship Academy suffered greatly. Lundenford was nearly ruined by a conspiracy involving The Cloak of Nightfall and the black market, while Fractura fell under papal control, becoming more of a propaganda tool than an educational institution.

Papacy’s Iron Rule and the Long War with Lunaria (785 AA - 911 AA)

The Papacy of Chamalia’s dominance, known as the Iron Rule, and the prolonged war with Lunaria significantly stifled technological and cultural progress, bringing immense suffering to both continents.

Frontian Revolution and the Dawn of a New Era (1037 AA)

The Frontian Revolution significantly shifted power dynamics, liberating Arshmunnu from papal rule and ushering in an era focused on reconciliation and rebuilding with the Lunarian Kingdoms, initiating a period of peace and cooperation.

The Cult Wars and Reformation (1037 AA - 1070 AA)

The Frontian Revolution marked the beginning of liberation from the papacy’s control, leading to the Cult Wars and the eventual defeat of the Cacophonic Disciples' cult. This era ushered in a period of rebuilding and reconciliation with the Lunarian Kingdoms, aiming to restore peace and revive traditional practices. The resurgence of the Cacophonic Cult post-revolution sparked the Cult Wars. Through collective efforts from various knightly orders and the now-weakened papacy, these conflicts were resolved, laying the groundwork for the Fifth Era—a time of reconstruction and enlightenment aimed at revitalizing the glories of the Third Era.

Conclusion

Arshmunnu’s vibrant history is a testament to its resilience and capacity for revival. From the remnants of conflict, the continent strides towards a future that respects its rich heritage while embracing the promise of renewal. This historical journey underscores the importance of unity and the safeguarding of knowledge and cultural legacy for the coming generations.
