Motivation
Some say she suffered the 'old curiosity' stopping at nothing to learn and discover; while she was certainly a voracious learner, it is generally considered that this was not the case, as she spent the latter part of her life teaching.
Her studies focussed on dispelling ignorance and long held beliefs, focussing largely on historical study but extending into more practical matters such as health and well being.
Savvies & Ineptitudes
Physically weak and frail, one of her main failings was personal health, forgetting to eat and drink regularly, she famously had a difficult relationship with sleep, spending weeks in an artificially induced sleep to think, and then at other times spending weeks artificially awake to get work done.

She had a particular fondness for Miniature trees and Mushrooms, alongside iced buns.
Hygiene
Surprisingly good for a scholar, she made sure to wash and put on clean clothes before appearing in public, however did spend days in the same robe if in private study.
