Origins
Also known as the Q'dali, this people was born of a lost dwarven clan whose leader pursued infernal power. When Xalfar unlocked devilish power, he did so at the price of his own people's souls. In that, they were transformed into a new race, and banished from the Absayris Desert. While new tieflings can still be born of this method, dealings with the infernal, many more are born of those who already exist.
Regions
Their homeland is The Obsidian Strip, but since new tieflings can pop up anywhere as well as other factors, they can be found in many areas of the world. When they are born in Riflian to elven parents, they are often forced out of the country or into small isolated communities. Unfortunately, outside of the Obsidian Strip, many tieflings are treated similarly, with suspicion and derision.
Stereotypes
| Stereotype | Why this Stereotype Exists |
| Tieflings don't have souls. |
This belief comes from a misinterpretation of the story of their origins. While Xalfar did use their souls to fuel his rise to power, he could only claim their souls when they died. While they weer living, though they had been made into tieflings already, they still had their souls. |
| Tieflings are power hungry. |
Many believe that tieflings have made deals for power or that they seek power beyond reproach. While they, like any race, have people who act this way, the vast majority of them are better adjusted. People hold this belief due to their origins and their infernal connection. |
| Tieflings will go to Krazzentar when they die. |
Tieflings can be born of other tieflings, or when someone in their family tree at some point made a deal with a devil. While some are created when their soul is promised to the hellish pits, those who are not can live a life that gets them into another afterlife. |
