Plasmoid

Origins

There is some confusion about where the Plasmoids came from. Some believe that they are the first mageborn race, an early attempt at understanding the magics of life from an arcane perspective. Others believe that their alien physiology maks them as a product of the Dread Dreaming, or the Dead Dreaming. What is clear is that no one has claimed responsibility for their creation. The earliest records of Plasmoid sightings are nearly a thousand years old, which predates Harkinmont, but perhaps not the attempts of mortals to follow in the footsteps of the divine.   

Regions

Plasmoids seem to gather in deep corners of the world nearly as forgotten as they are. In the deepest caverns, near the hottest volcanoes, and atop the most barren mountaintops you will find the Plasmoids.   

Stereotypes

Stereotype	Why this Stereotype Exists
Plasmoids are incomplete.	While it may seem like this to the casual observer, those who have studied plasmoids have long since declared that they are perfectly capable of independant life, even if their lives are different from those of others.
Plasmoids can kill people by entering their rectums.	This is an idea that emerged from knowledge of their ability to act as a semi-liquid. If a Plasmoid weer to enter an individual's rectum (or any other orifice) they would not be able to summon the force needed to reconstitute a shape inside the individual capable of causing significant harm.
Plasmoids can shapeshift.	While it is true that they can change basics about their form, they lack the ability to shapeshift as it is generally understood: to copy or create a new body to inhabit. Their ability is simply to add or change the configuration of their limbs.
