Harkonian Administrators

Origins

When Harkinmont was first created and built, it quickly became apparent that those who had come were very good at research, but not at governance or administration. Rather than try to outsource these duties and draw in more people, they made the logical choice to create a race to do those things for them. The Administrators were the first of the Mageborn races, and proof that those who put their minds to it could create life with magic. The administrators have another name, as well: Vedalken.   

Regions

The Administrators only exist as a significant portion of the population in Harkinmont, though they may be found scattered elsewhere.  

Stereotypes

Stereotype	Why this Stereotype Exist
Harkonian Administrators are perfectionists.	They often apply themselves to ensure that the work they do is the pinnacle of what they are capable of. While not quite perfectionists, there is a definate cultural value of hard work and doing things well for the Vedalken.
Harkonian Administrators are incredibly intelligent.	They were designed to run a city that would advance at a rate unseen anywhere else, and to be able to handle issues as they arose, even if they were supremely strange due to the magic involved. The average intelligence of the Vedalken is indeed high.
Harkonian Administrators have an aptitude for magic.	Despite living in Harkinmont, few Vedalken pursue magic. Their job is one of public service and politics, so while magic does help some of them, it is not a path tread by many.
