Firbolg

Origins

The Firbolg were created by a god. Many erroneously believe it to be Jakular, or perhaps Quetminok, but it was Cheznerix that went through the work to make them. He wanted to create a people that would simultaneously tell stories, and have stories told about them. The culture of the Firbolg is one that embraces and greatly values the traditions of oral storytelling. And as their communities are hidden away in pockets of the world invisible to most, there are many stories told about them in taverns and druid circles across Chenravo.

Regions

The Firbolg can be found in places where nature is strong. In old forests, deep valleys, and wild praries. Their communities are nearly impossible to locate, however, unless one knows what they are looking for. The Firbolg have a great respect for nature, leading some to believe that another reason for their creation was to smooth things over between Jakular and the trickster god.

Stereotypes

StereotypeWhy this Stereotype Exists
The Firbolg aren't real. An actual sighting of a firbolg is rare, leading many to believe that they are fictional. This obfuscation and confusion leads to more stories surrounding them, which seems to please Cheznerix.
Firbolg travel alone.  One of the gifts granted to the Firbolg by Cheznerix was innate magic that could conceal or disguise them. Often, if you see a firbolg travelling, there is a chance that their companions may be firbolgs as well.
Firbolg were created by Jakular. Despite their respect and reverance for nature and its creatures, Cheznerix is the true creator of these people. It is unclear if Jakular is actually aware of their existence.
