Wishing Powder
Amongst the many wonders that have been found in crypts from the Demon Age, the Wishing Powder stands out. It has been found on occasion in various Crypts. It must not have been common even in the Demon Age and it's nature and method of production is lost and unknown. Attempts to divine it's making from magical readings are nonsensical or fail due to the great age of the substance. The logical error of having the dust make more of itself also fails, or perhaps more accurately is only self sustaining with the end being the same amount as the start.
What is it? A moderate sized jar of clearest glass with a ground glass stopper containing a volume of fine grey powder. Once open, the dust only lasts a day and then vanishes if not used, or is consumed on use. It may be destroyed by fires and lightnings or mixing with strong acids. The glass has no unique properties. When the jar opens the one closest feels a pressure in the head and hears a humming sound. This indicates the dust is active and awaiting instruction. The use is simply commanding the dust to produce an item, product or perform an action. It may make any mundane object of any complexity and from any material at a rate and volume of 10 cubic cm per hr from a full jar. Rates are much slower with fractions of the powder. It does need examples to build from - drawings, a base example, or diagram. It will heal wounds, cure diseases or afflictions and remove poisons or regrow limbs, and has brought the dead back to life. It has been left to make a pile of gold. A suit of armor made of stone or steel or even leather. It may not make something magical as far as any know. It may make things that are fantastical such as the fae make of Chimera from the dreaming realm - a cape of metal feathers, or leaves, a sword of glass with the strength of steel. It may make a book, but even when instructed to fill the book with lore on making the dust or other knowledge, the pages remain blank. The dust does not seem to "know" much more than the user does or can be gathered from reference sources/ examples. The dust may also completely destroy anything it is put upon if so instructed.
Shamanistic and spirit contacts with the dust find it with a sort of basic spirit. It wants instruction to do something. It shows almost no awareness beyond desire for instruction. It uses a "we" identity. It doesn't possess typical spirit powers. The dust has no more magical presence than a fork or spoon, so is not any known enchantment. It may lift images and intent from the mind of the user in a form of telepathic communication but still shows no other psychic ability or talent.

Utility
The uses are myriad. The misuses have been like the King of ancient Julu, who used it to transform a lake into ice in summer. This failed to ice the whole lake and melted away within a day. This same king ordered a jar to produce gold for him. This has hence set the price or value of the dust to roughly 6kg of gold (the amount of gold a jar of dust will create). The horrific use by Kiloon to transform a warrior into living steel- agonizing in the transformation, immobile steel skin, steel flesh and ultimately lethal. The best use were the monks of the Cloud Temple that used it to cure a plague and to heal the injured and afflicted.
Manufacturing
Unknown.
Discovery
The dust has only been found in Demon Age crypts and in small quantities of a jar or two. It is nearly the stuff of legend in rarity and value- as well as the fantastical, amazing and foolish uses that people have attempted with it.
