Salha Smith was the only daughter of Hyinn Smith, critically acclaimed blacksmith of Esai. He was worried that his craft would cease when he passed. Salha as frail as she might proves her father wrong. She stayed up for days to master her sword. Tired, she almost collapsed before the sword finished. One night in the workshop, a knock on the door. Salha went to check on the door. A woman with dark hair and an eye patch waited. Salha was surprised and let her in for it was freezing. The woman lifted the sword and chanted a mantra of the ancient gods.
"Blessed be the owner of this sword. Death bestowed on thou foes. May your descendants be able to bend the rules of life and death."
Then the woman vanished in a blink of an eye.
