Originally intended for House Zevrin, the Bene Gesserit saw an opportunity to strike a blow to the Tleilaxu, disrupting their plans and deals. House Zevrin losing an expensive asset was merely collateral damage. The Bene Gesserit seized this chance to observe a Face Dancer directly and see if the Tleilaxu’s hold could be broken. In exchange for his loyalty, Jaxon offered Methos freedom and safety within House Arachnis.
