D4 Naval District of Gorled

Written by Adsmalley

This district is obviously named after the enclosed docks used by the Gorled Navy. The Gorled Navy has a modest number of ships, but not enough that they are considered a major naval power. After all, most of their power is based on the wealth of the kingdom due to its fairly-fertile farmlands and its large and fairly well trained cavalry and infantry forces.   Buildings marked with an "h" are homes/houses, or in many cases are a building that is made up of several small apartments/tenaments that are eitehr rented out to those who can not afford to purchase a building in which to live or are owned by those who also own local businesses and provide these apartments/tenaments to those who work for them (as part of their "pay" for their work).   Please note that if the map/image of this district is opened (in a new window or tab) it will show at a higher resolution on most computer systems and will be easier to read, if needed.   The population of this district is roughly 4,000 residents, with roughly half being workers or sailors stationed at the Gorled Naval Docks.
