The Talespinner

(a.k.a. Siaska, Maiden of Stars, Maiden of Tales)

The Goddess Siaska is the patron of heroes, bards, and storytellers.  She laughs and dances among the stars, spinning the stars themselves into a tapestry of constellations that records all the great stories through history.  Through Siaska's teachings, her worshipers supposedly can not only recall stories from history but also interpret tales yet to be told.   Heroic destiny and fate are widely considered to be in her domain, and many would-be heroes blame the Talespinner for both their greatest successes and worst defeats.  While some would blame her for their worst moments, true followers of the Talespinner recognize that defeat is an important part of the heroic journey, and make the triumphs that much sweeter.

Divine Domains

Divine Symbols & Sigils

A harp or a lyre, sometimes adorned with stars.

Tenets of Faith

  • Perform heroic deeds for the good of the world.
  • Trust in the fate and the tale the Maiden of Stars spins for you.
  • Celebrate heroism, mourn tragedy, and remember all great moments.

Holidays

Followers of Siaska anticipate each Dim Night of the month as a holy night.  On this, the night of the new moon, they can most clearly see the stars and try to interpret the tales that their Goddess is spinning. In particular, Dim Night in the month of Snowswell is the chosen holy day for the church of Siaska, for in this month the night air is particularly crisp and clear.
