Session 11: A Dirty Dragon, A Moldy Temple

General Summary

Reflection and Return

4th Towerday, Storsmwane, 25 AR   The team finishes a moment to catch their breath and take in the spectacle of the giant crystal formation under the mountain (the largest they have seen yet. Gathering the remains of Dante's head, the set out to return to Brevin's Gap where they could bury their friend. Their return to the Gap is thankfully uneventful.   At the guardtower they approach, they notice Emery Flamelocks coordinating an armory-sized pile of arms and armor. The dwarves of Brevin's Gap are coordinating an attack on the orcs to the North! They desire to gain a new home in Hal Durahl more fitting to a dwarven lifestyle.   The team talks with Brevin about their latest exploits, and then begin to deliberate where they will go next. Then they deliberate some more. And a little more.   Finally the group (mostly) agrees to go back south to Lookout's Landing. They leave without any fanfare, with only a few Bastions and townsfolk taking note of their passing into the South. They stop briefly at the Demogorgon Kids campsite to make sure the cave is still in disuse, and then continued South.

An Eastern Rumbling

While journeying close to the southward ravine, a rumbling is heard! As Stumps goes to investigate, he finds a great four legged beast, 50 feet or more in length, pulling itself up from the ground. A small clearing of broken trees surrounds this beast. On its back are huge clumps of sod and jungle plants which fall off as it slowly rises and walks, leaving an earthen crater in its wake. Gnarly Toes identifies this creature as a type of dragon: a Jungle Dragon! This type is said to be of the lineage of Ceramet, and both loses its wings and becomes more simple-minded and slow as it grows older. This one names itself as Blindreroth to Stumps then loses interest and continues walking on, eating a tree as it departs.   They continue on their journey, and rest once more at the farm where they had rested on their original journey to Brevin's Gap.

The Moldy Temple

Upon their approach to the ruined temple, the team notices that the radius of animal silence seems to be larger than the last time they came through. It seems like the Vegepygmies are pushing out into the surrounding jungle and hunting for any living things they can find, bringing them back to their temple home for as-yet unknown reasons.   The party braces themselves for a dangerous adventure, as they recall the deadly attributes of russet mold!  They approach the temple and catch glimpses of small moldy humanoids scouting and circling their group.  And... as the group opens the door to the temple... they attack!   Lets roll initiative.
