Council of Khorvaire

After the disappearance of the Heroes of the Pigrim, Khorvaire was still beset by many threats. Aberrations from Xoriat still ran rampant, striking fear into the populace. The nations of Khorvaire made an alliance to deal with these threats. The nations, working together, ended many of these threats and protected the people. As the threat of the Far Realm dwindled, the tenuous alliance bought by the Council of Khorvaire faltered. But just as the Council was about to be disbanded, the a great green dragon awoke in the Eldeen Reaches and struck at the nation of Aundaire. The nations rallied behind the Council once more, and the well-loved war hero Avina Talandro slew the dragon. Yet another threat came in the form of the Lord of Blades. Warforged armies began to strike from the Mournland at neighboring Thrane and Karrnath. The four nations of humans decided to abandon the Council of Khorvaire and turn to a new more consolidated political force: The Khorvairian Empire, ruled by Sovereign Avina Talandro. With the loss of the four most central nations, the Council was disbanded shortly after, though many members were vocal about the dangers of consolidating power under one ruler.
