Phoebe is an adventuring knight who has done and seen a lot of things in her journeys.
She was once a farmer in a small town called Happy Village until she got hired as a watchguard in Castle Prettington. Her ambition to become a swordwielding adventurer got her to the career as a soldier, fighting against Prettington's enemies and monsters.
Her adventure then started when the whole world was about to be doomed as an army of demons attacked Centurion. She was sent to seek out for help all around the Western Continent to form a powerful alliance and drive off the demons.
When this was over, she resigned and founded the Adventurer's Guild in the city of Saint Mortorf.
She has two different stories and one of them alters her appearance and form forever: As a demonlord.

Personal history
Her story is long and confusing to most but Phoebe Josephine Swordmaster was once a daughter of a happily married farmer couple. On their farm they raised griffons and horses but Phoebe always wanted to go on an adventure since she grew quite bored with the farmer life.
She was still too young to do that on her own so she kept on going to school until she graduated and went to the training grounds, fonded by her father. 3 years later she became a young adult and was recruited as a watchguard for Castle Prettington. When Phoebe was worried she would never be able to catch a break to finally go on an adventure, she was needed for the Prettington army as a soldier. Months after months the town was attacked by many demons spawning from various places and even though the army always managed to fend them off so far, it seemed like the number of demon attacks kept growing, such it was happening everywhere. Phoebe volunteered to take a temporary job as a messenger and went on a journey to look for alliances against the demon army in Prettington. The Drakonian tribes, the Zenkin clans and a small number of the mages from the Invisible University agreed and came to help after Phoebe helped them out with their demon army invasion first. When all of them came back to Prettington, it almost seemed like they arrived too late, but Phoebe and her allies (which became friends) defeated all of the demons, the demonlord and the portals that led to the Demonrealm. With the demon army finally gone for good, they got rewarded and celebrated as heroes of the Western Continent! Phoebe took the moment and her share of the rewards to travel to Saint Mortorf and found the first Adventurers guild!

In the 1st alternate timeline which is the canon story/timeline: Phoebe Josephine Swordmaster protected the people of Prettington in a battle between her, her friends, the demons and the demonlord who used to be the Princess' bodyguard. When the demon army was defeated, she got rewarded with the title of the Grandchampion and her friends were greatly rewarded too.
