White River Bridge

The White River Bridge is, as the name implies a Bridge over the northern "White River". It is the only known save crossing over the river making it extremly strategically important and very harshly contested. Additionally the bridge is guarded by the "Stone Warden" a large statue like creature said to be almost undefeatable in combat. The warden will ask you to pay a toll to cross. This seemingly varies wildly from person to person ranging from a couple silver coins, to entire mountains of gold. What exactly causes this varied toll is unknown, though members of the "Gold Hooded Order" say it has to to with a travelers strenghts, while the "The Last sons" believe it has to do with to persons soul and religous belives. The same sentiment is shared by the "High Bistum" and other followers of the "Father"

History

Construction

Not much is known aboud the construction of the bridge except, that it happend roughly between 450 - 500 a.A. and that it was likely divine forces which build the site and its protector.

The war of the splintered Crown

During the "Great War" the bridge was used as an escape route for "Tarinios" army leading them up north were the became "The Foresaken Legion". The Bridge also served as a last stand for the "Northern tribes" during their rebelion against "King Solvaris" and as of today the site atleast 34 different batlles and skirmishes (39 according to Parus).

The modern Day

At this point the bridge has flared up in importance agian as it has become a major part of the conflict between the northern tribes and "Campania" with ownership of the bridge changing usually multipe times a month. Due to unkown reasons the "Gold Hooded Order" decided to stop persuing negociations between both parties after first starting them in 564 a.A. Though it has remarked that it still advises both factions to stand down as the warden seems to become more and more agressive letting less people pass and even intervining in recent battles to stop both sides from atempting to cross the bridge. He has also alledgedly been seen wandering further inside Campania scarring some villagers and even having to be confronted by militia of Campania. Luckily he doesnt seem to be in the mood for a fight. For now atleast.
