Heavenly Fish

While aboard a research vessel studying the local fauna around Myst Geysers, I was able to learn many things about them! Most of the researchers were kind and enthusiastically shared what they found most interesting about the creatures we saw. The most common types of creatures we saw were fish. It was explained to me that every creature that uses myst to fly in Avostein has a so-called 'myst-bladder'. Inside the bladders are some myst stones that hold the myst in. When one of the fish wishes to move, they use their internal muscles to squeeze the bladder and allow some myst to escape from it, propelling them forward. The fish then use their fins to maneuver in the air.

While these fish can breathe in myst to keep themselves held aloft in the sky, if a creature without a myst-bladder were to breathe in myst, they would surely die.
