Hair Manipulation

Keratin is rather well-suited to umbrite infusion- Cotd in particular even more so.   Adding a bit more solid shadow to a Cotd's hair can add rigidity, acting as a sort of magical hair gel. Many use it this way in order to style their hair.   On a more practical level, solid shadow manipulation can be applied through the medium of hair in order to manipulate it as an appendage (or several). This is more efficient than pure solid shadow, as a significant portion of spent energy falls under the purview of 'internal flubbing'.   Non-Cotd can utilize hair manipulation (should they find themselves capable of sorcery), though doing so will darken their hair due to the infusing of shadow. It can also theoretically be used as a hair dye- very light applications can even be used to create purple rather than black. This sort of dyeing is rather resilient to typical wear, but gets bleached out by sunlight (and sunstone) very quickly.   Note that if one manages to monumentally fuck this up and manage to turn the hair into true, stabilized umbrite , it will cold-weld together, remaining a solid (likely hole-filled) mass even if uninfused.
