The Sweet Fields

  The halflings of The Sweet Fields used to be very isolated. They wanted nothing more to tend to their crops in the rolling hills of their home and spend the rest of the time drinking mead and telling tales. Then a Portal opened in the middle of Good Farmer Giovanna’s fields. This angered Good Farmer Giovanna, the bright orange flowers of his field, and the bees of the 40 meter hive on Giovanna’s property.   The bees of what is now known as The Sweet Fields prospered from the plants that the halflings grew, and in turn grew. Some grew in number, with dirt pillar hives that are tall as some modern skyscrapers, some grew in size, size enough that some halflings were able to breed and domesticate some bees to be their mounts and beasts of labor.   But now the halflings were neighbors to the entire world. The entire world wanted the mead and wax products the halflings were able to create, and, well, the halflings wanted coin and tales. And while some small families were able to create some of the finest beverages in the world, other legitimate business families sought more … lucrative opportunities.

  The False Rose Inn
Among the fancier lodgings within the vicinity of the Sweet Fields park. It’s a 4 story, large tavern inn. Intricate roses made out of wood adorn it inside and out. Visitors swear they are real based on the wonderful fragrance it gives. The owner, Netta runs it with her husband and were very helpful in allowing the Dauntless to take ownership of the fireplace area after a troubling event.
