Thoulians

The inhabitants of the oases in the great deserts of Eyl-Thoul immigrated across the deserts from Aranbar after escaping from the terrible oppression of the dragonborn priests, who regularly sacrificed members of the human underclasses at shrines to their dragon deities.   The Thoulians are tough and resourceful, a proud people who defend each other and have a long oral tradition of stories of escape from their dragonborn oppressors and long, dangerous journeys across the deserts. They are slow to trust outsiders and are highly unlikely to obey the commands of others. Thoulians are, however, often regarded as needlessly defiant troublemakers, who cling to their superstitions and strange cultural habits rather than making an effort to fit in.   Real world analogues - aspects of Mongolian and Berber cultures   Major settlements:
