The Celestial Realm
The Celestial Realm (also called Heaven, Elysium, Macaria or Avalon, among other names) exists above the surface of Casiphon in the sky, and is the permanent home of the saviour titans and other lesser gods. These deities reside here during the Elipation, which magic leaves the world and the deities themselves are almost completely unable to perceive or influence the world. During the Perluxion, when magic returns, the celestial deities are once again able to see, contact and interact with mortals, though they tend only to visit the surface of the earth occasionally, as Typhon's essence damages their own divine essence.
There are many stories that purified souls of the most worthy of mortals travel up to the celestial realms with their memories intact and dwell for a time among the gods themselves. These souls form the lesser divine beings who interact more directly with events on the Prime Material Plane.
The Aether:
The Celestial Realm is cut off from direct contact with the world of Casiphon by a layer of Aether, a veil of burning hot energy which is able to deflect and destroy every trace of the essence of the shattered destroyer-titan Typhon, which is inimical to the celestial beings. Both the sun and the moon travel through the Aether, while the stars represent small windows through it into the planes beyond.
