Mettyaners

The humans of Mettye are the most cosmopolitan of all the human inhabitants of Casiphon, having long controlled the rich eastern and southern trade routes, and having their origins in all the lands of the continent.  A Mettyaner is as likely to speak the Cathain or Aranbari tongues as they are the common dialects of Casiphon.  They have benefitted from a long and enriching contact with the Volerine dwarves, and utilise wind and water power as well as many smaller mechanical devices.   Though there are many smaller settlements along the coast, which fish the rich seas and farm plantations surrounded by the jungle, the main settlement is the abandoned dwarven mining port of Schwernost.
