Gyarhamers
The barbarous human inhabitants of Gyarhame do not come in just one variety, but numerous small tribes of various origins sprang up along the coastal areas of the islands, usually having settled there after the beginning of the Seventh Cycle. They were originally from all the different civilisations around the Emel and Ischindar Seas before the Breaking of Nations, and their stories and traditions often reflect their distant and disparate ancestral origins.
The dinosaur population of Gyarhame prevents most settlements, especially farming villages, from forming, so Gyarhamer barbarians live in sheltered caves or valleys, hunting and foraging to survive. They are known to be mostly suspicious of outsiders on ships, especially those who (like the Taorminites or Grithi) would kidnap them as slaves, gladiators and indentured servants.
Gyarhamers dress in leathers and lizard-skins (if at all!), decorated with bone jewellery, tattoos and feathers. They are famously brave and tough, extremely competent at surviving in the wilderness and hunting even the mightiest of monsters.
